Esber and Ellery Spring 2013

Some designers that showed their collections at Lincoln Center traveled a few blocks from their studio.  Christopher Esber and Kym Ellery are fashion designers that journeyed all the way from Australia.

Their American debut was a chic presentation of classic tailoring, great fabrics and flattering silhouettes. Jackets, tops, dresses played with different lengths.  Sequins and shine mixed with sheer chiffon and silk weaves.  There was a definitive downtown meets uptown vibe to this collection.  The structured suits had a slightly edgy cut to them.  More avant-garde seaming was incorporated into ladylike dresses.  I guess that's the true effect of North America meets Down Under.
