The divas of the Grammys 2015 red carpet ruled in dramatic black looks. They went for sheer, embellished and sexy-as-hell. Many of those formidable women had curves to spare and their chosen designers helped them flaunt it.
Lovingly referred to as "Queen Bey" on social media, Beyonce Knowles arrived towards the end of the red carpet coverage swathed in appliqued black Proenza Schouler. She may have had long sleeves, but the deep plunging neckline made the dreams of many a male fan. Another deep plunge V-neck was worn by Nicki Minaj in Tom Ford. The shimmering jet beaded fringe of the skirt was perfect for her to shake her infamous posterior. In light of her past over-the-top outfits, this look was very elegant but still very sexy with edge.
Grammy Divas Nailing The Black Widow LookA super-fit Gwen Stefani wore a gorgeous black jumpsuit by Atelier Versace. The asymmetrical beaded bodice had an architectural slant that went all the way to her back. The luxe jumpsuit has clearly been the winning look on the past few awards shows this year.
Jessie J wore one of my favorite gowns of the night in black embroidered Ralph and Russo. The gorgeous beading hid and revealed all the curves you could want. The shiny jet embellished matched her lacquered hair.
Meghan Trainor brought the most adorable date, her Dad to the Grammy Awards. She was stunning in a lace applique gown by Galia Lahav, a new designer name to me.
I loved seeing so many curves framed in such pretty ways on this red carpet. I liked hearing new designer names too. Whether they went home with a trophy or not, these women already won the most important award on this blog.
