Rembrandt THERSday at Townhouse Spa

It's nice to be pampered.  One of my favorite spas in the city, Townhouse Spa in Midtown Manhattan hosted a ladies day of spa treatments.  My fellow bloggers and I were treated to manicures, massages, red cocktails and treats courtesy of Rembrandt's line of teeth whitening products.

I tried and reviewed their new whitening strips which I really like.  My hubby is partial to their more traditional toothpaste and trays for your teeth method.   Also in the goodie bag were a bunch of Aveeno skin care products.  They're not fancy, but I find that I come back to them again and again because they have been the most effective on my skin (especially the times when I went through months of hives!) They were also the brand my allergist recommended.

If you love the couples spa experience, Townhouse Spa is the perfect venue.  A year ago, I booked Hubby and I for a romance package.  While many spas have the pink and frou frou thing going for it, this one is decorated in (male-friendly) rich browns and woods.  Their lounge serves cappucino and have tables serving up snacks and the New York Times (both of which Hubby promptly attacked).  Beside the still intact mani-pedi I had from the Rembrandt event, I had one of the best massages I have ever had with the therapist at this spa.  (Another male-friendly note, there are big flat screen tv's in the treatment rooms).
