New Year's Eve Fashion Fundraiser for Goodwill Rescue Mission

Are you in NYC for New Year's Eve? Looking for a stylish party (and open bar) to get a head start on your New Year's resolutions to do more good in the world? Come dance with me and toast to 2016 at the Goodwill Rescue Mission fundraiser.

The evening will feature artists and designers showing their work and musical performance. There will be a huge dance floor under the dramatic architecture of the Holy Apostles church in Chelsea. $40 gets you an open bar, some complimentary nibbles and a guilt-free night as you know that you're helping others.

Guys, there are going to be a ton of models and actresses at this party. Ladies from Vogue Italia, The Sopranos, Redken, LAFW, Orange is the New Black will be there. Women, meet guys from The Blacklist, Bravo TV, Law & Order SVU... Who knows who you will be spending 2016 with after this night?

Autumnlin's Zipper Chic

Want to follow up with fashion competition tv contestants? Autumn Lin Kietponglert was a finalist from Rihanna's "Styled to Rock" series. Before that show, she had already won awards in multiple countries for her collection.

Her signature detail is the sculpted fashion she creates using zippers. For her New York Fashion Week presentation, she stuck to a simple black and cream palette. The fabrics were soft and draped as a contrast to the structured shapes of the zippered pieces that wound around the body.  The clothing was paired with sexy shoes with artsy silhouettes from Machi Footwear.

Pop divas like Cher and Kylie Minogue already count themselves as fans of the Autumnlin label, having worn her creations.

Great fashion shows are a treat to watch. Catwalks that benefit a worthy cause? Even better. Fashion Night Out Abolitionista Benefit

Celebrate a night of indie fashion designers with the bonus of being able to save a child.  A collective of artists and designers with The Set NYC have come together to host Fashion Night Out - Abolitionista Benefit.  The event raises money for efforts to stop child sex trafficking in its #PleaseSaveONEChild campaign.

The stylish night will include art exhibits and fashion shows from designers like REVERIE,  SNOWMAN, HOPE by Joy Hu & Joe Liang. Celebrity fans who wear these designes include Miss Universe Natalie Glebova, Miss Jamaica Chantal Zaky, Robin Kassner (Millionaire Matchmaker) and Angelina Pivarnick (MTV, VH1).  While enjoying the sights, guests can enjoy artisanal chocolates and cocktails. 

The event takes place in Chelsea on June 5, 2014.  If you hurry, you can buy one ticket and get your plus one's ticket for free if you purchase before Monday, May 19th.
